U.S. embassies and consulates have been instructed to reject most visa applications by Palestinian passport holders. The August 18 memo states that the policy is effective immediately, and will apply to visa applications for business purposes, tourism, students, and those traveling for medical treatment.

While visitor visas were previously paused for Palestinian passport holders leaving Gaza, this new policy extends to other groups, including those traveling from the West Bank.

If you are a Palestinian passport holder, please speak with an attorney before you travel outside the US.

We will keep you updated. If you have any questions about the visa suspension, we would be happy to speak with you.
