Effectively immediately, USCIS is limiting the age of photographs that may be submitted for immigration documents. Photos older than 3 years (36 months) from the date a USCIS form is filed will no longer be accepted. Additionally, all photos must be taken by USCIS or other authorized entities. Self-submitted photos will not be accepted or re-used.
For certain petitions, USCIS will require a new photo, regardless of the age of the petitioner’s last photo. This applies to Form I-90, Form I-485, Form N-400, and Form N-600. If you have questions about this policy update, we are happy to speak with you.
