After determining that the conditions in Burma no longer meet the statutory requirements for Temporary Protected Status (TPS), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the termination of its TPS designation. Burmese citizens will no longer be able to remain in the United States under valid TPS after January 26, 2026, pursuant to the 60-day termination notice. This is the eighth termination this year.
