DHS Terminates Ethiopia’s Temporary Protected Status Designation


Upon determining that the conditions in Ethiopia no longer meet the requirements for Temporary Protected Status (TPS), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) terminated its TPS designation. The termination is effective February 13, 2026, pursuant to the 60-day advance notice requirement. This is the tenth country to lose its TPS designation this year.
