Under the recently passed One Big Beautiful Bill Act, a mandatory $250 fee will be required for those who are issued non-immigrant visas. The new “visa integrity fee” that will be added to non-immigrant visas is subject to change each fiscal year based on inflation. Options for fee waivers or reductions will not be available. However, reimbursements will be available upon expiration of the non-immigrant visa in certain cases: if the recipient of the non-immigrant visa complied with all visa conditions and did not overstay in the United States 5 days past the visa’s validity.
The bill also lists various additional charges, including:
– $24 fee for Form I-94 applications,
– $100 fee for asylum applications,
– $275 fee for employment authorization renewals for asylum applicants, parolees, and holders of Temporary Protected Status,
– $1500 fee for adjustment of status applications,
– And more.
Each fee will be adjusted for inflation beginning Fiscal Year 2026. If you have any questions, we are happy to speak with you.
