On January 3, 2020, Business North Carolina named Murali Bashyam the winner of Legal Elite in the category of Immigration. The award recognizes NC attorneys considered by their peers to be at the top of their field. Out of the 573 attorneys nominated for Legal Elite, Murali Bashyam earned the most votes in the Immigration category. Fewer that 3% of the state’s lawyers made Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite.
Since 2002, Business North Carolina has honored North Carolina lawyers through the Legal Elite, a listing of the state’s best attorneys in business-related categories. The Legal Elite are chosen by the votes of the state’s lawyers. Notices were sent to more than 19,000 active members of the North Carolina State Bar living in the state.
In Murali’s words, “It’s an honor being chosen by Business North Carolina as a legal elite in the area of immigration, especially since I was chosen by my peers. It’s even more fun being profiled in their music issue since my hobby is playing the guitar! I’ve loved being an immigration lawyer and helping immigrants for the last 25 years.”
Business North Carolina is the state’s biggest business magazine, and through investigative journalism that covers business from a local, national, and international perspective, Business North Carolina produces fair and accurate reporting.
We are so excited to have Murali honored with this recognition.
