Get to Know Series, Deanna Roth, Senior Immigration Paralegal

Deanna Roth- Senior Immigration Paralegal

Deanna Roth, Senior Immigration Paralegal

How much do you really know about your immigration attorney and paralegal?

Many of our clients probably know our senior  immigration paralegal, Deanna Roth, by name. She just celebrated ten years with our firm, and has helped many of our clients throughout her tenure with us on both the family and corporate side.

In continuation of our Get to Know series, we asked Deanna a series of questions to get to know her better.  We want you to know Deanna, one of the people at Bashyam Global that works so diligently on your immigration case.

Here’s what Deanna has to say:

Where are you from?

Guayaquil “la perla del pacifico”, Ecuador.

Whats your favorite vacation spot?

Madrid, Spain. It is a city full of life, culture, diversity, and, of course, siesta.

What is your favorite genre of music and why?

You’re making me choose?  Ok, Latin, a reminder of my roots and origin. Although, I’m also partial to 80’s pop music as it reminds me of my childhood.

If you could have one superpower what would it be?

Time travel. I would jump at the opportunity to witness history in action.

What is the most stressful part of your job and whats the most rewarding part of your job?

The most stressful part of my job is dealing with deadlines, in particular the infamous Request for Evidence or “RFE”.  But, it can also be the most rewarding, as it allows for me to have an opportunity to think outside the box and be creative. There is nothing better than the feeling of a job well done!

How do you prefer to start your day?

I begin by taking a few minutes to meditate on at least one thing I’m thankful for and why.

What is your favorite quote?

“There is more happiness in giving, than there is in receiving.” Life is more rewarding if you help others without expecting anything in return.

What was the activity you disliked most as a kid?

Ironing my school uniform.

Which do you prefer: dog or cat?

Cat. Independent, introverted, and yeah with a bit of an attitude problem.

As Deanna mentioned, life is more rewarding if you help others. This is an essential characteristic of Deanna and all of our team members, and this characteristic has continued to benefit our clients. Deanna’s dedication to our clients is one of the many reasons that she is a valued member of our firm.

We hope you got to know an important member of our team, Deanna Roth, a little better.
