USCIS Updates H-1B Cap; H-1B Approvals Increase

The USCIS recently updated its web site with the new H-1B cap count for this fiscal year.  As of October 25, 2009, approximately 52,800 H-1B cap-subject petitions had been filed.  The H-1B cap is set at 65,000.

The USCIS recently updated its web site with the new H-1B cap count for this fiscal year.  As of October 25, 2009, approximately 52,800 H-1B cap-subject petitions had been filed.  The H-1B cap is set at 65,000. 

This represents a significant increase from where the cap count was only a few months ago.  Does this mean we are on our way to seeing the Congressionally mandated H-1B cap exhausted for this fiscal year?  We will keep you posted at www.bashyamspiro.com as additional information becomes available.
