USCIS Updates FY2012 H-1B Cap Count

admin

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) updated its Fiscal Year 2012 H-1B cap count on April 7, 2011.   Here are the most recent cap numbers:

Regular H-1B Cap5,900

U.S. Masters H-1B Cap: 4,500

The regular H-1B cap is set at 65,000 and the Advanced Degree cap is set at 20,000.

The number of new H-1B filings under the regular cap is low.  This could be a reflection on our economy and demand for foreign professional workers.

We will monitor these numbers in the coming months and provide routine updates for our readers.  Stay tuned to www.bashyamspiro.com for updates.
