On Thursday, March 21, USCIS has announced that the original deadline for the FY 2025 H-1B Cap registration of March 22nd will now end on March 25, 2024, at noon Eastern. The reason for this extension is due to a numerous amount of registrants experiencing system outages, so USCIS has decided to give applicants an additional business day to submit their registration. While the registration period has received an extension, USCIS does not intend to push back the other deadlines they have given. They still expect to make applicants aware of their selection in the lottery on March 31st, 2024, and will begin to accept petitions in relation to the FY 2025 H-1B Cap on April 1st, 2025, with new edition of forms to be used starting on that date as well.
