How to Change Your Address with USCIS

Anyone receiving immigration benefits is required to notify USCIS if their address changes, and they must do so within 10 days of moving.

There are two methods of notifying USCIS of an address change. Beneficiaries can choose to mail a physical copy of Form AR-11, Alien’s Change of Address Card to USCIS. This method meets the legal requirement but is not the preferred method for reporting the change as there is a delay between when Form AR-11 is sent out and when the change of address is reflected in the USCIS system.

The second method for submitting a change of address is through a USCIS online account. Using your USCIS account, you can access the USCIS Enterprise Change of Address self – service portal under the “My Account” dropdown menu. This method is preferred, as your address is updated in the USCIS system almost immediately.

If you do not have a USCIS online account, or need to access Form AR-11, you can do so by going to the USCIS website at uscis.gov. If you have any questions, we are happy to speak with you.
