U.S. Department of State released the June 2011 Visa Bulletin. Here’s a breakdown of how things have changed since May:
Employment-Based Category Two (EB-2):
China – advanced 2 months
India – advanced 3 months
Employment-Based Category Three (EB-3):
All Other Chargeability Areas – advanced 24 days
China – advanced 1 month
India – advanced 7 days
Philippines – advanced over 3 months
Mexico – advanced 24 days
As you can tell, visa availability hasn’t changed much in the last one month. The biggest mover was India in the EB-2 category. In addition, the DOS states that demand by applicants who are ‘upgrading’ their status from EB-3 to EB-2 is very high, thus making it difficult predict forward movement in the cut-off dates for China and India.
So the wait continues…
