The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the termination of South Sudan’s Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation. This is the 9th TPS termination since the start of President Trump’s second term so far.
In accordance with the 60-day notice requirement, South Sudan’s TPS designation termination will be effective January 5, 2026. DHS is encouraging all South Sudanese nationals to use the US Customs and Border Protection Mobile App to report their departure.
