The United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) updated its H-1B cap count on December 31, 2010.   Here are the most recent cap numbers:

Regular H-1B Cap57,300

U.S. Masters H-1B Cap: 20,000

The regular H-1B cap is set at 65,000 and the Advanced Degree cap is set at 20,000.

This means that the Advanced Degree cap has been exhausted for FY2011, and the Regular Cap is getting close to being finished as well.

Employers who want to file H-1B petitions for eligible, professional workers should do so as soon as possible.
