Presidential Proclamation- January 31, 2020


On January 31, 2020, President Trump released a Presidential Proclamation with the intent of suspending and/or limiting entry into the U.S. for nationals of Burma (Myanmar), Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Sudan, and Tanzania.

In the Presidential Proclamation, President Trump addresses the history of the travel ban, the review process, and ultimately the decision to suspend and/or limit the entry (with the ability to waive the restriction) for nationals of Burma (Myanmar), Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Sudan, and Tanzania.
