U.S. Department of State released the December 2011 Visa Bulletin. Here’s a breakdown of how things have changed since November.
Employment-Based Category Two (EB-2):
China – advanced 4 1/2 months
India – advanced 4 1/2 months
Employment-Based Category Three (EB-3):
All Other Chargeability Areas – advanced 23 days
China – advanced 17 days
India – advanced 9 days
Philippines – advanced 24 days
Mexico – advanced 24 days
The four and a half (4 1/2) month forward movement in the EB-2 category is a significant step forward.
The visa availability date in January 2011 was mid-2006 for EB-2 India and China. In one year, the dates have advanced by approximately two years to early-2008.
