U.S. Department of State released the December 2011 Visa Bulletin. Here’s a breakdown of how things have changed since November.

Employment-Based Category Two (EB-2):

China – advanced 4 1/2 months

India – advanced 4 1/2 months

Employment-Based Category Three (EB-3):

All Other Chargeability Areas – advanced 23 days

China – advanced 17 days

India – advanced 9 days

Philippines – advanced 24 days

Mexico – advanced 24 days

The four and a half (4 1/2) month forward movement in the EB-2 category is a significant step forward.

The visa availability date in January 2011 was mid-2006 for EB-2 India and China.  In one year, the dates have advanced by approximately two years to early-2008.

Let’s hope this progress continues!
